Very cool program! I finally found a group that is specific to principals. I’m an elementary principal in the Dallas TX area, and have been since the caveman days. I just had a book published that I think all principals will get a kick out it. It’s based on my “more entertaining and crazy” experiences as a principal over the years. It’s written with kind of a warped sense of humor, but humor is a must in our field. I pity the principal that takes themself too seriously – there’s enough stress in the job, so why bring more on yourself? On the book website, I have a page for other principals to share their wild experiences and stories that they’ve had. I’d like my next book to be the same topic…except it will be based on principals around the USA instead of just my stories. The site is: http://www.justwaitingforthebell.com
Congrats to Scott for the Apple Distinguished Educator award – that’s a huge honor. I was lucky enough last spring to be named one of the 6 finalists in Texas for the National Distinguished Principal award, sponsored by NAESP. I didn’t win (visual moment – I’m placing my hand in the shape of the letter L on my forehead) but it was quite a ride.
Hey Melinda – my parents grew up north of you in Booneville MO. A charming little town, but I’d rather stick a fork in my eyeball than go up there again for the millionth time. Scott – never been to Colorado, but I hear they have mountains and stuff.
    Keep up the great podcasts:)

David, For whatever reason I have just read this comment. Not sure how the comments on our blog got away from me for so long but they just showed up in my reader! Will definitely look at your site and find out more about your book. Thanks for reading and listening to us.:)
