Listen now!
Melinda & Scott,
I am the “podcast listener” that asked you about balancing home and work over the summer, just before I returned back to my Assistant Principal position. I am happy to report that have found my own balance & enjoyed hearing about yours on your recent podcast! Though, waking up at 3:50am isn’t part of it, I do totally respect Melinda’s commitment & podcasting on the way home… whew.
I recently became apart of a year long Urban School Leader Fellowship, supported by the CT School Change Project and thought I would share our most recent assignment as it may be a possible conversation starter for a future podcast. The assignment is to shadow a student for a day, then use the experience as a lens to examine our district’s vision for students, our school outcome achievement plan and look for triangulation. It does become difficult to find time to do this, my AP colleague & I are going to cover each other to give us the opportunity to experience being in the student’s shoes. I’d be glad to report out my experience, if interested.
Happy New Year!
Tina
